The covid vaccine is now available to those eligible for it.
The NHS has set out a national priority scheme which we have to follow, so you will not be able to have the vaccine until you are invited to attend. Please refrain from contacting the surgery to find out when you will be called for as we will be unable to inform you. Dates of clinics rely heavily on vaccine supply.
Covid vaccine clinics are being delivered collectively across the Blackpool Central West Primary Care Network. This means that as well as patients registered at Adelaide Street and Harris Medical Centre, patients from South King Street Medical Centre, St Pauls Medical Centre and Elizabeth Street Surgery are also invited to the same clinic.
All appointments will take place at the old Gorton Street Surgery. This surgery is housed within the same building as Talbot and Brunswick Children’s centre.
Access to the clinic is from the rear of the building, which can be accessed through a gate at the bottom of the car park at the side of the building. Simply follow the arrows displayed in the windows from the main entrance.
Additionally, the British Islamic Medical Association have commented on many of the myths surrounding the vaccination, which can be found at their website here.
