Adelaide Street New Build

You may have seen in the news that we have eventually secured planning permission for a brand new health centre to be built on the current site at Adelaide Street and the adjoining area where the Comrades Club once stood. South King Street Surgery (situated behind Adelaide Street) will also be moving in to this new building.

April 2022 – now that everything is officially in place we can confirm that we will stop running clinics from the current Adelaide Street site in June. The last day we use this building will be Thursday 9th June. From that date all our clinics will run from Elizabeth Street Surgery, Gorton Street Surgery and Harris Medical Centre whilst the new centre is being built. From the beginning of May we will start to run a small number of clinics from Gorton Street. Entry to Gorton Street is through a buzzer system at the main entrance.

2024 – we have been informed that demolition of the site at Adelaide Street will take place at some point during the year. Our admin team has been moved out of the building and is now situated at Elizabeth Street. Instead patients will visit either Elizabeth Street Surgery, Harris Medical Centre or Gorton Street Surgery as we have been given use of this building whilst our new home is built. This is the same building which was used for our covid vaccine service. Both Gorton Street and Elizabeth Street are not far from Adelaide Street.
